College Essay Workshop 2025 (in person @ Dominican High School)
This event is specifically offered to current students of Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay, WI.
Take the dread out of writing your college essay! Learn from an experienced higher education professional what colleges are looking for when they read your essay. Participate in active brainstorming activities to help you identify the perfect topic for you. Students will be expected to write a first draft of their essay in the week between the first and second workshop, so that you can receive real-time feedback on your draft in the second workshop. Bring your laptop or notebook, and let's get started!
Early Summer Option:
Wed, June 4, 11am - 1pm: Workshop 1: Brainstorming
Wed, June 11, 11am - 1pm: Workshop 2: Editing
Late Summer Option:
Tues, Aug 5, 11am - 1pm: Workshop 1: Brainstorming
Tues, Aug 12, 11am - 1pm: Workshop 2: Editing
Both Early and Late Summer options are the same format and content, and are intended as a 2-part series (June 4/11, or Aug 5/12). You are encouraged to register for one pair of workshops (Early Summer or Late Summer) but if your schedule is prohibitive, you can attend what works for you.
