The most powerful questions in a college search are: who am I, what do I want to pursue, and how do I get there? I love helping students cultivate their insight, and realize that they are in the driver’s seat of their education.
I’m delighted to share my knowledge, empathetic approach and commitment to students as they navigate this foundational time in their lives. I have spent over 10 years in student-serving roles across a wide range of colleges and universities. My experience includes K-12 teaching, college orientation, and most recently, academic and career advising, where I’ve helped students identify how their interests, academic abilities and career goals come together to choose their best-fit majors and career options.
My 10+ year career in higher education includes:
Individualized academic and career advising to undergraduate students through a variety of majors (particular emphasis on biomedical science, chemistry, pharmaceutical science, biology, and environmental science) at a mid-size institution
Developing a pre-college curriculum to ensure college readiness for high school students
Reviewing and assessing transcripts for academic preparedness at a mid-sized, private, religiously affiliated institution
Coordinating new student programs at both large public and small private institutions
Developing parent communication and onboarding programs at two mid-size institutions
Coaching students to develop their best resumes, personal statements, etc. for college and beyond
Training higher education administrators at national conferences on unique ways to support college student development

Parents, I have spent my career supporting young people in their educational journeys. Guiding students with an empathetic, steady approach, as they identify their goals, and explore pathways to get there, is what I do best. I know you are embarking on a major family transition too. I have accompanied families at all stages of the process - from the first college visit through move-in day and to college graduation. You have important concerns, hopes and dreams for your student, for college and beyond, and I will partner with you to support and inform both your student and your family through this process.
